Grace Pacific LLC’s bid of $2.15 million was the lowest bid submitted by three bidders in a three-part project. Isemoto Contracting Co. Ltd. made him the highest bid of over $2.8 million, but Jas W. Glover Ltd. said he could do the job for $2.55 million.
The crew is tentatively scheduled to begin work on the ground on January 18, weather permitting, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work on weekends and holidays is not permitted.
During operations, traffic will be reduced to one lane with police directing traffic, but if law enforcement personnel are unable to participate in special service projects, trained flaggers will be used. there is.
The project requires the removal and replacement of 3 inches of asphalt within the lanes of Hinalani Road. Some areas of the high-traffic road slated for a $22 million restoration project will remain untouched during the work.
The stretch of Hina Lani Street scheduled to be resurfaced in the current project runs from Mamalahoa Highway to just above Kahakea Place. From the top end of the proposed Kaloko Heights Affordable Housing Project to Mauka at the intersection of Hina Lani Road and Ane Keokalole Highway.
