NFL sets kickoff time and date for huge Giants-Eagles matchup

The Eagles’ big game against the Giants is scheduled for Sunday at 4:25 p.m., the NFL announced Monday.

For the first time since 2019, the Eagles entered the regular season finale with a playoff seed at stake. In 2019, they won the NFC East title as regulars on the final day of his season at MetLife where he defeated the Giants 34-17 at his stadium.

They won the NFC East title this year, earned a first-round bye, and won Giants Sunday at Linc.

The Giants, 9-6-1, are locked into the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoff bracket and can’t help or hurt. But the Eagles have many challenges. This is his third chance to secure the top seed in the conference bracket and the byes that come with it.

The 13-3 Eagles beat the Giants to set a franchise record and win their first division title since 2019.

If they lose, the only way they can win the division is if the Cowboys lose to the Commanders at FedEx Field and the 49ers lose to the Cards at State Farm Stadium. All three games are scheduled to start at 16:25

If the Eagles fail to win the NFC East, they will be locked in as the fifth seed with the best record among non-division winners. Then, starting January 14th, he will face the No. 4 seed, the division winner with the worst record, in the Playoff Wild Card Weekend through the 16th. Here’s the Buccaneers, who ended the Eagles’ season last year in the Wild Card Round in Tampa.

No team has won back-to-back NFC East titles since the Eagles won their fourth straight in 2004.

The Eagles beat the Giants 48-22 at MetLife Stadium in December. They have won 23 of their last 29 meetings dating back to 2008, eight straight victories at the rink, and Matt Barkley played most of the Eagles’ games after Michael Vick acquired them in 2013. When we lost 15-7, it hurt.

Giants coach Bryan Dabor wasn’t firm Monday when asked if he plans to play the starter in what is essentially a pointless game.
